WILLIAMS, PEARLIE MAE, 78 Gainesville - Pearlie Mae Williams, 78 ,died November 23, 2006 at Shands at Alachua General Hospital after a short illness. A Native of Greenville South Carolina she moved to Gainesville while quite young, and joined Emanuel Baptist Church. She was a retired Environmental Service Technician with Alachua General Hospital for over thirty years. Survivors include a niece and nephew she was rearing, leshia Williams, and David Williams both of Gainesville, FL. She was a caregiver to three generations of family members. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and nephews, cousins and caring friends. Funeral Services for Ms. Williams will be held on Monday, December 4, 2006, at 1:00 PM at Emanuel Baptist Church, with Rev. Arthur Thomas, Pastor, Elder Jeremiah Lee, officiating. Burial will follow in Grass Lawn Cemetery under the care of Chestnut Funeral Home, 18 N.W. 8th Ave., Gainesville, FL. Ms. Williams will repose in the Chestnut Memorial Chapel on Sunday from 2:00 - 6:00 PM and on Monday in the Emanuel Baptist Church one hour before the service. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. The cortege will form at the home of Ms. Williams, 2419 S.E. 13th Street at 12:15 PM.
