WELLS, PEARLIE MAE, 95Mrs. Pearlie Mae Wells, age 95, born Aug. 6, 1912, died September 4, 2007 at Heartland Dolvin Nursing Home in Detroit, Michigan. Mrs. Wells lived in Alachua, FL at an early age, married Sylvester Wells in Ohio, before making Detroit, Michigan her home for nearly 48 yrs. Mrs. Wells was a loving, caring auntie to a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She was a second mother to Irma and Roosevelt's children. In addition to her parents, William and Nancy Wilkerson Butler, she was preceded in death by her husband Sylvester Wells, brother, Roosevelt Butler Sr., Sisters, Isabella (Belle) Richardson, Beatrice (Bea) Brown, and Leola (Red) Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted nephew Walter Butler (Ann) of Detroit, MI, Roosevelt (Laura) Butler, Jr. of High Springs, Robert Butler of Louisville, KY, Alvin (Reatha) Butler of Tampa, James (Mae) Johnson of Alachua, 3 Nieces, Velma (Edward) McKnight of San Diego, CA, Carol (Moses) Haile of Gainesville, Virginia Green of Alachua, and a host of cousins, grand nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Wells will be held 11AM on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at New Saint Martin Missionary Baptist Church (Detroit, MI) where Rev. Larry Smith is Pastor. Arrangements are entrusted to SWANSON FUNERAL HOME in Detroit, MI. We, the Nieces and Nephews of Auntie Pearlie Mae have been blessed as she has been a blessing to us. We know kindness as she has been kind to us. We know the fruit of the work that the Lord has accomplished through her. We know today of the sincere love and appreciation for her.
