Lowell - Pauline T. (Paquette) Mercier, 81, a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, died Friday, Dec. 26, at a local nursing home following a brief illness. She was the wife of Romeo E. Mercier, with whom she would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on May 10.She was born in Lowell, on May 10, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Ulric D. and Alphonsine P. (Pitt) Paquette.Mrs. Mercier was an avid bowler and loved bingo. She was a communicant of Ste. Jeanne d'Arc Church in Lowell.Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Normand F. Mercier of Lowell, Ronald M. Mercier and his wife Michelle of Fremont, N.H., Michael A. Mercier and his wife Myong of Hoboken, Ga., and Richard D. Mercier of Lowell; two daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine Y. Jubinville and her husband William Jubinville Sr. of Dracut and Suzanne J. and her husband Daniel Donahue of Clearwater, Fla.; two brothers, her twin brother, Paul O. Paquette of Lowell and John Paquette and his wife Phyllis of Arlington, Va.; and a sister, Blanche E. Oliver of East Hampstead, N.H. She also leaves two sisters-in-law, Helen Paquette and Beatrice Paquette, both of Lowell; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.She was also the sister of the late Achille Paquette, George Paquette, Fernande "Bettie" Putonen and Maurice Paquette; and mother-in-law of the late Lorraine Mercier.
