Mary Pauline Rankin Moore, 101, formerly of South C Street, wife of the late Joseph Harden Moore, died Sunday, April 9, 2006, at Easley Living Center. Born in Oconee County, a daughter of the late Elam and Sallie Smith Rankin, Mrs. Moore retired from the Glenwood Plant of Mayfair Mills after 45 years of service. She was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church, where she served as associate pianist, and taught Beginners Sunday School for more than 50 years. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy M. and Charles E. Adams of Easley; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph Dalton and Mary King Moore of Greenville, and Jack and Lorraine Couch Moore of Easley; a brother, Odas D. Rankin of Easley; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Moore was predeceased by a granddaughter, Paula Moore; a great-granddaughter, Tami Duncan Hemphill; two great-great-granddaughters, Caycie and Cheyenne Cox; six sisters; and four brothers. Mrs. Moore was individually devoted to each of her grandchildren and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Baptist Church, with Rev. Terry Fowler, Rev. Ken Lawson and Rev. Jack Couch officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, and will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Wednesday, where the family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m., prior to the service.
