Lillie Pauline Robins Lee, 83, wife of James Ervin Lee, of 406 Oconee Station Road, Walhalla, died Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at Mariner Health Care Facility. A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Lee was the daughter of the late Robert L. "Bert" and Ada Augusta Cannon Robins. She was a retired employee of the Kendall Corporation, and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary at Oconee Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Lee was the 2002 Valentine Queen at Mariner Health Care, and was an avid participant in all the activities. In addition to her husband of 65 years, Mrs. Lee is survived by sons, Robert A. "Bobby" Lee and wife Rachel, of Walhalla, and Edward Lee of Tamassee; a daughter, Louise Towe and husband Clarence, of Walhalla; a son-in-law, Kenneth Hopkins, of Walhalla; sisters, Kathrine Hubbard of Taylors, Frances Andrews and Mary Pressley, both of Fountain Inn, and Linda Crenshaw of Walhalla; four grandchildren, Jeff Hopkins and wife Sherri G., Lisa L. Hanvey and husband Steve, Jarrett Towe and wife Sarah R., and Christopher Lee; and two great-grandchildren, Maclaine Hanvey and Mackenzie Hopkins. In addition to her parents Mrs. Lee was predeceased by a son, Bill Lee; a daughter, Judith L. Hopkins; a grandson, Jim Lee; brothers, Henry Robins, Robert Robins and Ralph Robins; and sisters, Ann Palmquist and Lucille Pitts. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2002, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The body is at Davenport Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, April 4, 2002, and will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Friday, prior to the service.
