Paul W. Henry, 88, Springfield, died in Primrose Healthcare Center on Friday, May 25, 2007. Paul was born on October 31, 1918, in Osceola, Missouri, to the Reverend John and Roberta (Shumate) Henry. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Henry; and sisters, Pauline Fulkerson, Martha Kelly and Roberta Matherly. Paul attended Springfield Public Schools and graduated from Central High School. Paul and Mary owned and operated Reliable Stamp and Engraving Co. for many years until their retirement. Paul was a long-time member of the Queen City Lions Club and was an avid fisherman as well as a member of the Missouri Trout Fishermen's Association, where he made many lifelong friends. Paul is survived by his wife, Mary (McKinley) Henry, of the home; his son Wendell Henry and wife, Betty, of Beaverton, Oregon; his daughters, Sandy and husband, Terry Jadlot, Keller, Texas, and Linda and husband, Larry Winterscheidt, Edmond, Oklahoma; six grandchildred; eight great grandchildren; his sister, Marian and her husband, Ed Stump; his sister, Mary Henry of Springfield; and a number of nephews and nieces. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2007, in St. Agnes Cathedral with Monsignor Thomas Reidy, celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut, Springfield. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. this evening, May 28, with a prayer service to follow at 7:30 in the funeral home with Monsignor John Westhues and Rev. Bob Fulkerson, officiating.
