Paul-Aurele Hudon, né en 1924, conjoint de Henriette Dallaire, père de Sylvain, Christiane, Carmen, Martine, Liette, Annie, Ghyslain, Gaston, Martin et Claude, est décédé le 4 février 2000 à l'âge de 75 ans.
Paul Hudon Funeral services for Hearst resident and retired bushworker Paul Aurèle Hudon, 75, of 604 Prince St. were held Feb. 7, 2000. He died Feb. 4 at Notre-Dame Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born March 9, 1924 in Ste-Anne-de-la-Pocatière, Quebec, he came to Val Côté in 1967 from St-Norbert-du-Mont-Brun and later to Hearst where he operated heavy machinery for Levesque Lumber until his retirement in 1988. He returned to Mont-Brun, Que., and then to Hearst in 1998. Described as a jovial man who liked to joke, and a good worker with many friends, he enjoyed working with wood, gardening, flowers and nature. A son Sylvain 'Cupidon' Hudon died in a 1987 motorcycle accident, and a brother-in-law Laureat Gaulin in January in Mont-Brun. He leaves wife Henriette (née Dallaire) Hudon of Hearst; daughters Christiane, Carmen, Martine (Serge) Morin, Liette (François) Morin and Annie (Daniel) Lapierre, all of Hearst; sons Ghyslain (Denise), Gaston, Martin (Lise), all of Hearst, and Claude Hudon of Ottawa; sisters Rita Gaulin and Jacqueline (Normand) Dubois, all of Mont-Brun, Ghyslaine Hudon of Laurentides, Aline (Hugues) Tran of Montreal, and Solange (Aryl) Picard of Rouyn-Noranda, Que.; brothers René (Monique) of Rouyn-Noranda, Jacques (Line) of Amos, Que., Conrad of Val-d'Or, Que., and Denis (Céline) Hudon of Mont-Brun, Que.; and 19 grandchildren. Rev. Jean-Roch Pelletier officiated the service at the Notre-Dame de l'Assomption Cathedral. Cremation was done at Rouyn-Noranda, Que. Interment will be at the Monseigneur Grenier Cemetery.
