Patty Jo Wilcox-Johnson, 64, died Aug. 9, 2011, at North Shore Medical Center, Lauderdale Lakes. She was born in Fort Pierce and lived in Lauderdale Lakes. She attended St. Lucie County schools. She was employed as a CNA for a nursing home. She was a member of Jesus Ministries of Fort Lauderdale. Survivors include her son, Cyrus Weems of Vero Beach; brothers, Damon Wilcox and Sylvester Wilcox, both of Fort Pierce; and sisters, Ophelia Leichman of Sebastian, Linda Taylor of Fort Pierce and Violet Bonaparte of Fort Lauderdale. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ossie Wilcox and Lillie Bell Farwley; husband, Richard Johnson; brothers, Calvin Wilcox and Nathaniel Wilcox; and sister, Erma Wilcox Wyatt. Services: Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Aug. 19 and 9 to 10 a.m. Aug. 20 at Sarah's Memorial Chapel. A Celebration of Life service will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 20 at St. John United Methodist Church, Fort Pierce. A burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. A guestbook is available at www.sarahsmemorial.com.
