Moore, deceased and beloved grandmother (Granny) of Daniel, David, Thomas Jr. and Logon Moore, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Titusville, Florida, after a long illness. Patsy was born in Atlanta, Georgia but moved to Miami, Florida as a young child. She graduated from Miami-Edison High School. After her marriage she had three children. During this period she started Flamingo Day School which she ran successfully for many years. After her divorce she and her three children moved to West Palm Beach. She worked for Pratt-Whitney Aircraft Company. After a couple of years she accepted a position as a typist for the federal government and was assigned to work for NASA at Cape Kennedy. In 1974 she was recruited as the Federal Womans Program Coordinator in Anniston, Alabama. She was soon promoted to the Equal Employment Opportunity Officer, where she was a crusader for human rights. She was well known for her honesty, fairness and sense of humor. She took advantage of her foreign assignments and traveled extensively in Europe, the Orient, and through out the United States. Her last tour of duty was in Washington, DC serving as Executive Officer for the Chief of the Corps of Engineers. After retirement from the Federal Service she moved to Brevard County where she operated a successful tax business for several years. Her last years were spent quietly enjoying life in Port St. John. Patsy was a courageous and spirited woman and will always remain "ahead of her times".
