FITZMAURICE, Patrick Steven - Died peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the age of 67 at home in Spartanburg, South Carolina, after a long, courageous fight with ALS. Predeceased by Barb (nee Smith), his loving wife of 44 years. They raised two sons, Stephen of Spartanburg, South Carolina and his wife Kim Purdy and Marcel of Woodstock and his partner Brenda Hemsley. His delight and love for his grandchildren was always evident; Georgina, Joanna, Desiree, Cassidy, Nolan and Sandra Fitzmaurice will miss his humour, his warmth and his caring way. Pat is the son of the late Leonard and Elizabeth Fitzmaurice. He is predeceased by his brothers Tom and Bern Fitzmaurice and survived by brothers and sisters, Mary Wesseling, Jack Fitzmaurice, Gene Fitzmaurice and Rita Clark. The family will receive friends at the Reynolds Funeral Home in Bracebridge, Ontario on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be said at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bracebridge on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 11 a.m. Spring interment St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Bracebridge.
