Patrick J. Casey died on Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at Holly Manor Center in Mendham, NJ at age 82. Born on March 13, 1921 to Thomas and Catherine (Byrne) Casey in NYC. He attended Power Memorial HS and received his BS degree from Fordham University School of Business. Mr. Casey was Executive Vice President with Companion Life Insurance Company for over 30 years, retiring in 1987. On November 24, 1946, he married Margaret "Claire" McInerney in Holy Name Church in NYC; she survives. Patrick was a World War II Army Veteran, being discharged as a Captain. He served in the European Campaign and was involved with the Second Wave Invasion of Normandy. Captain Casey was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Besides his wife Margaret, he is survived by his daughter Bernadette Mulhearn and her husband John of Mendham, NJ. He is also survived by three grandchildren Aileen (Michael) Philbrick, Christine (Nasine) Dam and Gregory Mulhearn; and his great-grandson Aidan Patrick. Mr. Casey is survived by his brother Thomas and his sister Rose Anne Casey of Astoria and predeceased by two brothers John and Charles Casey. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball F.H. on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial in Christ the King Church on Tuesday, August 26th at 10 AM. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
