KENT Patrick-Henry. P. Eng. Died October 3, 1998 while at work, in his forty-third year. Much loved husband and father to Linda (nee Kerley) and children Alex, Patricia, Alana, and Emma. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, and educated in Quebec, Ontario and Alberta. Patrick was a compassionate and knowledgeable Canadian. A founding partner of KB Resources, an Oil and Gas company located in Calgary, Alberta, Patrick started as a lowly roustabout at the age of seventeen. He worked his way through the industry, making friends and accumulating knowledge which propelled him to the Executive Office. Patrick was an avid outdoorsman who loved skiing, hiking, and fishing with his family. He will be sorely missed by his mother, Hope Kent, sister, Judy Cowling (Bob), brothers, Michael "Punch" (Anne), Richard (Lise), and David (Janice), Linda's father and mother, Owen and Catherine Kerley, and her brother, Glenn (Adeline), sister, Donna (Ernst), numerous nieces and nephews, and all his friends and business associates. Patrick was predeceased by his father, Lionel Kent, and his brother, Brian "Toby" (Sue Pattillo). Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway's "Fish Creek Chapel", 14441 Bannister Road S.E., on Tuesday, October 8, 1998 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Stephen T. Smith of St. Paul's Anglican Church officiating. If friends so desire, memorial tributes can be made directly to the education of the children at the Fairmount Branch of the Royal Bank of Canada in Calgary, Albert, Account #5049002 Transit #01819-003.
