Patrick Harrington Crown Point Patrick Harrington, age 82, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2005 at St. Anthony Medical Center. He is survived by wife of 59 years, Dolores "Corky" (nee Cross) whom he married on August 3, 1946; two daughters: Penny (Max) Sanders of Wheatfield, IN and Peggy (Gary) Holloway of DeMotte, IN; three grandchildren: Angel (Jason) Enix, Dana (Marc) Cleveland of Wheatfield and Alison (Bill) Walther of Fair Oaks; six great-grandchildren: Zach, Eric and Cassie Cleveland of Wheatfield, Brett and Reagan Walther of Fair Oaks, Kolby Enix of Wheatfield; two sisters: Audra Clark of Roselawn and Marlene (Dan) Darner of DeMotte; sister-in-law, Ethlene Harrington of Roselawn and many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Francis and Blane; sisters: Anna and Teresa; granddaughter, Danielle "Dani" Dankoff and mother-in-law, Edna Cross. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 12, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Sheets Funeral Home, 604 E. Commercial Avenue, Lowell, IN 46356, with Pastor Tim Hester, officiating. Burial will follow at Orchard Grove Cemetery, Lowell. Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Patrick was born on April 5, 1923 to Francis and Polly Harrington in Kersey, IN. He was a 1941 graduate of Wheatfield High School. Patrick was a WWII veteran who served in China/Berma/India as a Chemical Specialist. He was a retired Truck Driver with Clark Transport after 25 years of service. Patrick was an active member of the Lowell VFW, Post 6841, where he participated in Honor Guard. His favorite pastime after retirement was lawn mowing. Patrick and Corky recently became members of Grace Fellowship Church in DeMotte. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association or Grace Fellowship Building Fund.
