Patrick A. Flanagan died on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at his home in Morristown, N.J., surrounded by his loving family. He was 74. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Assumption, Morristown, on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment is in Holy Rood Cemetery. Hours of visitation at the Doyle Funeral Home, 106 Maple Ave., Morristown, are on Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. Born in Dublin, Ireland, Pat came to the United States in 1961 while working as a seaman on the Queen Mary. He began working in various restaurants in New York City, where he found the love of his life, Mary McIntyre. They married in 1964 and settled in Morristown. Pat was the supervisor of carpentry for the Sisters of Charity in Convent Station, N.J., for more than 30 years, retiring in 2009. He was a volunteer fireman for the Washingtion Engine Co. No. 1 of the Morristown Fire Department. A kind, gentle man, Pat loved his family, friends and spending time on the golf course. Pat was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary, in January, and his brothers and sisters, Michael, Kathleen, Maureen, Joe and Noel. He is survived his children, Kevin and wife, Annie; Steven; Stacey and husband, Rich, Mark and wife, Lisa, and Denise and husband, Dominick. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kathryn, Kelly, Laura, Tara, Patrick, Shea, Patrick and Maggie, and brothers and sisters, Marty, Kevin, Rita, Lily, and Jack.
