She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Joe Ward.She was born in Gary, IN. She retired after 36 years of service with the Post Office and 26 of those years were as Postmaster of St. Mark. She was a volunteer with the St. Marks Fire Department. She was a member of the Women's Club of St. Marks and was on the St. Marks City Commission for many years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd, Tallahassee, FL 32306.Visitation will be Saturday, November 13, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Bevis Funeral Home, Harvey-Young Chapel.Services will be Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at Bevis Funeral Home, Harvey-Young Chapel. She is also survived by two sons; Darren Ward (Anita) of Crawfordville, Jason Ward (Ginny) of St. Marks.One daughter, Christie Ward of St. Marks. One brother, Thomas Clore (Jackie) of St. Marks. Three sisters; Regina Crosby (Les) of Tallahassee, Linda Boling (John) of Coupeville, WA and Sandy Clore of Tallahassee. Seven grandchildren and one great grandchild and a host of family and friends.Bevis Funeral Home, Harvey-Young Chapel in Crawfordville is in charge of arrangements.
