->EAST ORLAND - Patricia Sue Link, 61, died unexpectedly Sept. 15, 2012. She was born Oct. 2, 1950, in Celina, Mercer County, Ohio, to Cyril J. and Pauline B. (Puthoff) Link.She graduated from St. Henry High School, St. Henry, Ohio; she got her B.A. from Dayton School of Practical Nursing, Dayton, Ohio, Sept. 14, 1969. She worked as a sheetmetal press operator at Kennedy Manufacturing for nine years prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1983. She served as a flight operation coordinator for four years and separated from service with an honorable discharge in 1987. She moved to Maine in 1988 and worked at MCMH, Ellsworth, for a period of 13 years, first as an LPN and later as a certified anesthesia technician in the outpatient surgery department. Due to restructuring, she gained employment at BMHI in Bangor for one year. After which Pat got a job with the VA Clinic in Bangor in 2003 to present. Pat was so looking forward to her retirement in October of this year. Pat had an awesome sense of humor and enjoyed anything regarding the outdoors; hiking, boating fishing, and gardening. She loved golfing, playing softball, coaching volleyball, she was particularly fond of both the Ohio State Lady Buckeyes basketball team as well as the Ohio State Buckeye football team. Pat was quick to give a helping hand in any situation, generous of heart and spirit and loyal to the end. She is survived by her significant other of 26 years, Gean Violette and dog, Bodie; her sisters, Barb Bertke and husband, Bob, of Pioneer, Ohio, Carol Schmidt of Union City, Ohio, Diane Jobe of Toledo, Ohio, and Rosie Link of Findlay, Ohio; one brother, Roger Link of New Weston, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Jen Woenker, Joe Bertke, Don Bertke, Debra Sue Traxler, Cathy Bertke, Kim Evers, Michael Reinhard, Angie Kirk, Jackie Hughes, Michelle Thomas, Chad Jobe, Robert Jobe, Titus Hilyard, Levi Link, Ambrosia Link and Gadgeal Link. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Jean Link and one brother; Tom Link. Pat also made many close and long term friends, Sadie Michaels and Lisa Borelli of Ohio, Frank Trafton of Maine, Nancy Kiez of South Dakota, Paula Pimpas of Ohio and Sr. Mary Modonna of Ohio to name a few. In lieu of flowers donations in Pat's memory may be made to The Sjogrens Syndrome Foundation. A celebration of Pat's life, for family and friends, will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at 128 Violette Way, East Orland. Arrangements are under the direction of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
