Smith of Cashiers, NC and Lake Wales, FL, peacefully traveled to Heaven on July 5, 2013 surrounded by the love of her family.Pat was born on Long Island, NY on July 13, 1937 and was a member of Miss Hall's School class of 1955.Pat loved sports, especially golf. She competed in many tournaments, club championships and the Doherty Cup. Pat also loved to entertain. Her Christmas parties, Kentucky Derby parties and holiday gatherings were memorable occasions. In fact, any night with Pat would quickly turn into a party.Pat loved the view of the mountains, her country club, CCSV, her fireplace and her dog Bo-bo.Most of all, Pat loved her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert W. Vincent of Cashiers, NC and Lake Wales, FL; her two children, Katherine Guida (Vince Botta) of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Walter P Guida of Gainesville, FL; her three stepchildren, Teresa V Perry (David), Linda Corneliussen (Gene), and Robert W. Vincent (Gaby). Pat also adored her nephews, Ronald D. Horne and Scott M. Horne and their families.In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pat's memory may be made to the Cashiers - Highlands Humane Society.
