DUNCAN, SC-- Patricia Smith, 73, of 201 Brookside Drive, died on August 11, 2006 at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida.A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Harley and Leila Bennett Hughes, she was a former employee of Bendix Launch Support in Cape Canaveral, Florida for six years as a secretary to the manager of the Vehicle Assembly Building, a former employee of Butte Knitt Company for nineteen years, and a former employee of Spartan Technologies as an administrator assistant for six years. She was a member of Reidville Road United Methodist Church.Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Nathan Smith of the home; a son, Mark Sutherland of Jacksonville, Florida; a daughter, Kim Hess of Inman; a step-son, Blane Smith of Columbia; a brother, C.V. Hughes of Mims, Florida; and two grandchildren, Kendall Ann Sutherland and Cameron Hess.Mrs. Smith was predeceased by one brother, Jimmy Hughes.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at Wood Memorial Park, conducted by Rev.
