Patricia Moore Howe, 85 WELLS -- Patricia Moore Howe, 85, formerly of Sheffield Road, Brewster, Mass., died Thursday, April 30, 2009, at York Hospital following a long illness. She was born in Quincy, Mass., on Dec. 28, 1923, the daughter of Ernest Havelock Moore and Helen Louise (Curtin) Moore. She grew up in Wellesley, Mass., and graduated from Wellesley High School, followed by one year of college. She was the widow of Francis Eugene Howe, who predeceased her after 62 years together. Following Francis' retirement, they lived for 25 years on Cape Cod, then moved to Maine to be closer to their children. Patricia was a homemaker and took great pride in raising her children. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a former member of Order of the Eastern Star in Chatham, Mass. She enjoyed flowers, and loved to cook. Survivors include two sons, Douglas Eugene Howe of Sanford, and Steven Craig Howe of Wells; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
