Miller, Patricia TROY Patricia Miller, 62, passed away on Friday morning, February 5, 2010 at the Saratoga Hospital following a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. Born in Troy on August 18, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Ella Mae Whitehead Crandall. Raised and educated there, she had a career in food service before becoming a homemaker and mother and dedicated her life to her family. Patricia was a happy person who enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts, sewing, handicrafts, watching her favorite programs on the game show channel and the food network. Her greatest joy in life was her beloved family and was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. She will be truly missed. Survivors include her beloved devoted children, Wendy (Joseph) Rhodes of Ballston Spa, Ellie (Bob) King of Colonie, Charles (Jessica) Miller, Jamie (Mike) Spain, Patrick (Melissa) Miller, all of Troy, and Robert (Sandy) Miller of Malta; ten cherished grandchildren, two treasured great-grandchildren; her sisters, Elizabeth (John) Burke of Clifton Park, Donna (Chuck) VanSant of Troy and Bonnie, Joanie, and Mary Crandall of Cohoes; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her devoted special grandson, Louie, for helping make her time with the family so special and to the staff of Saratoga Hospital for the care and compassion shown to her during her stay there. A gathering in celebration of Patricia's life will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2010 from 12:00 -3:00 p.m. at Parker Bros. Memorial Funeral Home, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet, N.Y.
