WALTON, Patricia Mary Roberta (nee Campbell) It is with great sadness but profound relief that we announce the passing of Patricia Mary Roberta Walton (nee Campbell) on Sept. 7, 2014. She passed peacefully in her sleep at home with family at her side. She suffered without complaint locked within her Parkinson's stiffened body. Despite her body contorting osteoporosis and final breath stealing lung cancer, she was still smiling until the end cheering on her beloved Toronto Bluejays. Born in Victoria, Feb 8, 1939, the youngest of 3 children to Edith and William Campbell she is predeceased by both parents and older brother, Ken. She is survived by loving husband of 56 years Larry, daughter Cari McKeown (Treavor), grandson Matthew McKeown (Danya); granddaughter Teri McKeown. She also leaves to mourn older brother, Doug and many nieces and nephews. Pat worked reception at Wilson Motors and BC Electric in Victoria and was a secretary at BC Hydro in Vancouver. She settled in to the Nursing Administration office at the Royal Jubilee Hospital where she made many lifelong friends over her 29 years of service. Pat's family would like to thank the staff from 8 North East tower at the Jubilee and South 5B at Vic General for her great care this past May and June. The Home Care nurses and daily support workers from Beacon, Bayshore and Alpha were so kind and she especially looked forward to seeing the girls who could make her laugh. Lastly we would like to send a tremendous shout out to Dr. Geoffrey Luckhurst for his years of compassionate care. At Pat's request there will be no service.
