Smith, Patricia M. ALBANY Patricia M. Smith, 81, died on Thursday, October 3, 2013 in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Watervliet, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ida Corbett Mendro. Patricia was a graduate of the Academy of the Holy Names. She loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed cooking, gardening and all types of needlework. Patricia had worked as a knitting instructor for Sears, and was formerly employed by the New York Telephone Company. She was the wife of the late William J. Smith; mother of Kevin Smith; sister of Tom Mendro (Marge) and Carole Crall (late George); sister-in-law of Sister Molly Smith D.C., Doris Smith (late Vincent) and Clarence DeLisle (late Mary); cousin of Greta McNamara; several nieces and nephews survive Patricia. Funeral services, Monday, October 7, 2013 at 8:15 a.m. from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 N. Allen St., Albany thence to Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany at 9 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
