Patricia M. Bennett R.N. for Mass. General for 45 years; 76 Lowell Patricia M. (Keegan) Bennett, R.N., 76 of the Belvidere section of Lowell, died Monday morning, September 1, 2008, in Gloucester, surrounded by her family, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Edward Bennett. Born in Lowell, January 22, 1932, the daughter of the late Joseph P. and the late Agnes (Ralls) Keegan, she attended Lowell Schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the class of 1949. In 1952, she graduated from St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing and in 1960, she received a Masters of Science in Nursing from Boston University. Before retiring, Mrs. Bennett was a Registered Nurse at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for forty-five years. Following her retirement, she joined the Staff at the Visiting Nurse Associations in Belmont and in Salem, MA. She was a communicant at the Immaculate Conception Church in Lowell. Mrs. Bennett is survived by a sister Maureen O'Neil of Marshfield; a brother Brendan Keegan and his wife Frances of Lowell; six nieces Deborah Guinee and her husband Kevin of Gloucester, Brenda O'Keefe and her husband Stephen of Lowell, Kathleen Cote and her husband Daniel also of Lowell, Patricia O'Neil, Tara Gillon and her husband David of Randolph and Kristy O'Neil of Dorchester; a nephew Terence O'Neil of Quincy; many grandnieces and grandnephews; a step-daughter Priscilla Bennett and husband Neal Mansfield of Framingham; a step-son Jonathan Bennett of Colorado; and her beloved dog Cocoa. BENNETT Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH in Lowell on Friday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery in North Tewksbury.
