MILLER Patricia Jean Miller, age 76, of Fairfield, beloved wife of George Miller, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2008. Having grown up in Syracuse, N.Y., Patricia moved to the Black Rock section of Bridgeport where she raised her family before moving to Fairfield in 1983. In 1976, Patricia attended the Legal Assistant Program at Sacred Heart University and was the vice president and president of the Connecticut Association of Paralegals from 1976-1980. Patricia received her Bachelor of Legal Administration, Magna Cum Laude, from Sacred Heart University in May of 1979. Following receiving her degree, Patricia furthered her studies at the University of Bridgeport where she received her J.D. in 1984 and was associate editor of Law Review. In November 1984, Patricia was admitted to the Connecticut Bar and admitted to practice in Federal Court in December 1985. During those times, she worked as a Legal Assistant at Trager & Trager, Brody & Brody, both of Bridgeport, and Stauffer Chemical, of Westport. After that, Patricia became an Attorney at Stauffer Chemical as staff attorney. She furthered here career in 1987 when she became partner at Miller & Jacobs, before starting her own private practice in 1981. As an attorney, Patricia taught Business Law at Sacred Heart University as Adjunct Professor between 1985 and 1990. She earned all her degrees while employed full time and attending evening classes from September 1973 to May 1984. In addition to her devoted husband Geroge, Patricia is survived by a daughter, Tracy H. Hubbard, and her husband Stuart, of Newtown, two grandchildren, Ellis and Tess Hubbard, five step brothers and sisters, Connie Harn, of San Diego, California, Donald Harn, of Murrietea, California, Ronald Harn, of North Las Vegas, Nevada, Jonnie Stone, of Bainbridge Island, Washington, and Bonnie Kulick, of Coronado, California. Private services were entrusted to the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center.
