Anderson, Patricia DeanApr. 30, 1925 - July 23, 2012Patricia Dean Anderson, born in Oskaloosa, Iowa, passed away July 23, 2012, surrounded by loving family. She was raised in Sarasota, Florida, where she met the love of her life, August Roger Anderson, who predeceased her in 1978. She is survived by her sister Virginia Blount (Wylie), her two sons and their wives, Eric (Parrish), Mark (Kathy), ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. After marrying Andy, they settled in Tallahassee, Florida for seven years, and then travelled to the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Libya, back to Jordan, and Afghanistan) over a span of eleven years while Andy served as a Vocational Education Advisor for the U.S. Agency for International Development. Upon his retirement, the family settled in Stone Mountain and Pat accepted a position with the Georgia Department of Education as an Executive Secretary; where she worked for over 20 years. Pat moved to Alpharetta following Andy's death, and was a resident at the Tapestry House when she passed away. Donations to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV.com) are requested in lieu of flowers.
