Patricia Casey NEWBURYPORT, MA -- Patricia Ann Casey, 73, of Newburyport, died January 27, 2013 surrounded by her family after a courageous and inspiring battle with cancer.She was born on December 7, 1939 the oldest daughter of the late Arthur Brennan and Lillian (Kirouac) Casey.Pat was a compassionate and devoted LPN who retired from Westford Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She found peace at the beach, enjoyed knitting prayer shawls for her loved ones, and her greatest joy in life was in spending time with her grandchildren.Family members include her siblings, Arthur Casey, Jr., Arlene Medeiros, Theresa Lemieux, and Thomas Casey; four children and twelve grandchildren, Mark Berardo and wife Colleen, and their children, Brennan, Julie, and Jennifer; Carol Whalen and husband Michael and their children, Casey, John and Michaela; Nancy-Jean Eagan and husband Christopher and their children, Matthew, Allan, Lillian and Tess; Michael Berardo and wife Susan and their children, Griffin and Brady; great aunts, Maureen Kirouac, Frances Burke, and Tess Cicchetti; Dear friends, Mary McCue and Carol Pieri.Pat's family would like to offer a special note of thanks to the many fine physicians, nurses, and caregivers at Lowell General Hospital Cancer Center. Their kindness and support have had a tremendous impact on our family, and we are grateful for their genuine love of what they do every day. We thank them for extending our time together as a family.CASEY -- There will be no visiting hours. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12 P.M. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Church, 42 Green Street, Newburyport. Family and friends are respectfully invited.
