Patricia "Pat" C. McClure On Friday evening, May 31, 2013, Patricia "Pat" C. McClure, 66, of Moncton, with her loving family at her side, passed away after a hard fought battle against cancer. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late John (Jack) and Josephine (Wood) McGee. Pat was a member of Mountain View United Church. Pat was a former employee of AVIDE Developments and of The Former Credit Union Central of New Brunswick. Pat served as Secretary for the United Commercial Travelers Council #758 for thirteen years and was a member of the Board of Directors of Moncton Community Residence (MCRI). Pat also volunteered for a number of years for The NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Canadian Cancer Society and The Look Good Feel Better Program. Pat was an inspiration to a number of people; she was thoughtful, caring, and unselfish and seen as a spiritual mentor to Cancer survivors. In addition to her volunteer work, Pat enjoyed travelling, days at the beach, boating, music and dancing. First and foremost however, she loved spending time with her family (especially her grandchildren) and being social with her many friends. Pat will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 45 years, Peter McClure; her children, Sally Allen (Craig), Moncton, Joanne Belliveau (Oscar), Moncton, Kevin McClure, Cumberland Bay; cherished grandchildren, Eric, Kelsey, Charlotte, Ross and Gabrielle; sister, Cathy Wartman (Wayne), Moncton; brother, Peter McGee (Susan), Lower Coverdale; several nieces, nephews and her many friends. In addition to her parents, Pat was predeceased by her brother, John McGee-Osborne of England. Special thanks to Dr. Sheldon Rubin and nursing staff of the Moncton Hospital Oncology Unit, the Doctors and nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit and Extra Mural Nursing for the love and care given to Pat during her illness. Resting at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton, (858-1995) with no visiting hours by personal request. Funeral service at Mountain View United Church, MacBeath and Connaught Avenues, Thursday, June 6, 2013, at 6:30 pm with Rev. Mary MacPherson officiating. Reception in the Church Hall following the service. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pat’s memory to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital (Oncology Unit) or memorial of donor’s choice. Online condolences at
