Patricia Barnes McDonald, 82, of Florence, passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2015. Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, from noon-2 p.m. at Elkins Funeral Home, Florence, with services in the chapel at 2 p.m. The Rev. James Webster will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Gardens.Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ellis "Pel" Pelham McDonald Jr.She is survived by two sons, John P. McDonald and David McDonald, both of Florence; sister-in-law, Virginia Rockett, of Alpine, Ala.; two nieces, Craig Anne Rockett, of Alpine, Ala., and Ann Austin, of Florence, Ala.; granddaughter, Sylvia Pannell and husband, Justin, and great-granddaughter, Chloe Pannell, all of Owens Cross Roads, Ala.Mrs. McDonald was a Methodist and was born and raised in Forrest, Mississippi.
