-> Springfield - Ms. Patricia Ann Wilson, 62, daughter of the late Doris and Howard Wilson of Springfield, died Friday, December 02, 2005 at the side of her two sisters at the Effingham County Extended Care Facility under the care of Hospice Savannah. Born December 9, 1942, Patricia was a kind, gentle person with a smile as bright as the sun. She had a great capacity to love and brought joy to all who knew her. Ms. Wilson was of the Methodist faith, and attended several churches over the years. Patricia attended Gracewood State School and Hospital from 1957 to 1979, where she sang in the choir of Gracewood United Methodist Church. After leaving Gracewood, Patricia lived with her family and in several private care homes. During these years she was a member of the AMBUC Bowling League where she was awarded several trophies for her bowling skills. She has resided at the Effingham County Extended Care Facility for the past thirteen years where she has enjoyed participating in the many community and social activities through the activities department of the facility. She enjoyed singing, dancing, competing in recreational activities, and fellowshipping with other residents and staff. Special mention should be made of the fine, caring staff at Effingham County Extended Care Facility, who gave her the best of care during the past thirteen years. She will be fondly missed by her two sisters and brother -in-law, Jane Graham and Trudie and Jimmy Sapp of Springfield; three nephews, Kurt and Travis Graham of Springfield and Jared Sapp of Atlanta. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2005 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Springfield Cemetery Annex.
