Patricia "Patty" Ann Wilson Walton - SAVANNAH - Patricia "Patty" Ann Wilson Walton, 67, of Savannah, Georgia, died Monday afternoon, October 11, 2010, at home under the care of Hospice Savannah surrounded by her loving family. Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late James and Sarah Wilson. She was a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church and the Interfaith Hospitality Network Ministry of St. Michael's. Patty was a graduate of the Savannah High School class of 1961. After High School Patty attended Nursing School and was the head of the class of 1964 at Memorial. She had a life long career as a head nurse in the ICU unit at Memorial Hospital and was awarded Nurse of the year several times during her career. After working at Memorial for many years, Patty continued her career as a Nurse Advocate working at Hospice Savannah caring for patients as well as their families. Patty devoted much of her time and love of life to the Savannah Visitors Center. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, James Wilson. Surviving are one daughter, Paige Brown and her husband Eric; two sons, Scott Walton and his wife, Paula, Chip Walton and his wife, Cindy; one sister, Joyce Kemp; two brothers, Bill Wilson and Donald Wilson and six grandchildren, Taylor, Melissa, Ethan, Van, Nicholas, and Evan. The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church conducted by The Reverend William M. Brock. Interment will be private.
