ObituaryPATRICIA ANN WHITEITHACA - Patricia Ann White, 63, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2007. Daughter of the late Hubert and Mariema White.Patricia worked in college, university and public libraries during the past 35 years: Akron Public Library, Michigan State University Library, SUNY at Potsdam Library, Ithaca College Library and, until 2005, the Tompkins County Public Library.She was also active in the Ithaca Chapter of AAUW and the League of Woman Voters. She enjoyed bird watching with friends and attending concerts and theater events.Survivors include: sister, Caroline (James) Bailey of Stow, Ohio; and brother, James (Patricia) White of Westland, Michigan; also three nieces and a nephew.Memorial contributions may be made to AAUW in care of Marjorie Smith, 129 Sheldon Road, Freeville, NY 13068; Hospicare, 172 East King Road, Ithaca, NY; Friends of the Library, 509 Esty Street, Ithaca, NY; or Friends of Montezuma Complex, 3395 Rte. 5 and 20 East Seneca Falls, NY 13148.Memorial services will be celebrated Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Bangs Funeral Home with Rev. James Geuder officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
