MURPHY Patricia Ann "Trish" (nee Barry), 46, born in New York City and a life-long resident of Dumont, passed away on September 9, 2010 after a courageous battle with Melanoma. Beloved wife of John F. Cherished by her children Mary Kate, Joseph Francis, Colleen Rose, Meghan Ann, and Sean Patrick. Loved by her brother James Barry and family, and her sister and best friend Rose Barry. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins both here and in Ireland. Pre-deceased by her parents the late Vincent (Pat) and the late Mary (nee Coyle) Barry.Patricia was a graduate of Rutgers College with a B.S. in Computer Science and worked for AT&T as a Systems Analyst for ten years. A life-long parishioner of St. Mary's R.C. Church. She was active in all her children's activities: Irish Step Dancing, Soccer, Baseball, Football, Basketball, Softball, and Scouting. Seeing Patricia would bring a smile to the face of anyone that she would meet, especially her family and friends. Patricia was a devoted wife, mother and friend who will be truly missed.The funeral mass Tuesday 9:30 AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Dumont. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday 7-9 PM and Monday 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Frech Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave., Dumont, and request in lieu of flowers donations be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering, NY, NY in Patricia's memory.
