ANDERSON, PATRICIA MELROSE - Patricia L. Anderson of River Road, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy. She was 80. Born in Huntington Station on July 8, 1930, daughter of the late George and Freida (Fricke) Ritz. She is the wife of Eugene Anderson whom she married on August 8, 1947. Mrs. Anderson raised their family on the Anderson Farm in Melrose, and in her spare time she enjoyed doing puzzles on her porch, reading, knitting and was a wonderful cook and baker. She also liked bowling and square dancing. In earlier years, she was a member of the Mechanicville PTA, the Schaghticoke Home Bureau where she would make rugs and other arts and crafts, and she would travel with her daughter's dive team as a scorekeeper. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her son, Barry Anderson, a grandson Brandon Piterniak, and a nephew Mark Eagan. Survivors in addition to her husband of 63 years, Eugene, include their children, Greg Anderson of Melrose, Karl and wife Jo Ann Anderson of Stillwater, Michael Anderson of Albany, Patty and husband Rick Anderson of Melrose and Robert and wife Karla of Ballston Lake. Two brothers, Robert Eagan of Waymart, PA and George and wife Judy Eagan of East Moriches, NY, one sister Sally Armendinger of St. Petersburg, FL., her grandchildren, Rene Wilday of Stillwater, Eric Anderson of Pittsfield, MA, Meriah Anderson of Clifton Park, Tyler Rubino of Melrose, Ella & Brice Anderson of Ballston Lake, her great grandchildren Ashton, Jamison, Amelia, Sarah, Lacey and Rebecca, her nieces and nephews, Sally Armendinger, Kathy Risch, Frank Armendinger, Steve Armendinger, Gary Eagan, Craig Eagan, Jill Fechter and Ken Eagan. Also survived by close family friends, Ryan Greenhall and family. Relatives and friends may call from 5:30- 7:30pm on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Dunn Funeral Homes, Inc., 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home at 7:30 with Ryan Greenhall, officiating.
