Patricia Ann (Corbett) McGowan, 79, of Braintree entered life eternal at Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011. She was a graduate of Sanborn Academy, Kingston, N.H., and Burdett Business School in Boston. Prior to her retirement, she was a sales representative for Sears Roebuck Company at the South Shore Plaza. She was a communicant of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish in Braintree. She was the beloved wife of the late John Joseph McGowan. She was the devoted mother of William Charles McGowan and his wife Tami of Taunton, Kevin James McGowan and his wife Robin of London, James Monahan McGowan and his wife Stephanie of Winchester and the late Michael Joseph McGowan, who is survived by his wife Noreen E. McGowan of Lakeland, Fla. She was the loving grandmother of Meaghan, Nora, Jack, Owen, Ella, Mary Kelly, Kathleen, Finbar and Thomas McGowan. Patricia is survived by her sisters, Mary Nudd and her husband Ron of Exeter, N.H., and Cynthia Crowley and Mary Kelleher of Boylston; and her brother, James Corbett and his wife Joan of North Andover. She was the sister-in-law of Frances Cawley of Dorchester and the late Lillian Hartigan, formerly of Milton, and Charles McGowan, formerly of Weymouth. Patricia lived her life for her family and friends. She was selfless in her devotion to others. Her kindness will forever remain in our hearts. Visiting hours will be Sunday, Dec. 4, from 4 to 8 p.m.at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home , 516 Washington St., Braintree. There will be a gathering at the funeral home Monday at 8 a.m. to be followed by a funeral Mass in Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington St., South Braintree Square, at 9 a.m. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
