Pamela C. Anderson, 82, retired real estate executive from New York, died Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Halifax Medical Center. She was born in London in 1924, and educated in England and France. After finishing school she enjoyed traveling extensively in Europe. She was an avid reader and especially enthusiastic about history. Mrs. Anderson was formerly the business manager of the showroom, sales and marketing for W. & O. Marcus, a leading fashion house in the West End of London, for many years. She immigrated to the USA in the 1960s where she met her husband of 36 years, George E. Anderson. They both lived in New York City when she became a citizen in 1979. They retired to Ormond Beach in 1987. As a retirement gift she was given a Russian Blue kitten which inspired her to go on to become a successful breeder of Champion Russian Blues. Her Cattery called Pampaws won many of the highest regional awards and her kittens were sold all over the world. Pampaws Lotti Lenya won a distinguished Merit Award because she produced five Grand Champions. Mrs. Anderson was also the president of the Daytona Beach Cat Fanciers Club for 12 years. She will be remembered as a vivacious, energetic and accomplished businesswoman who will be greatly missed by her many friends. She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Mumby and Debra Anderson; a brother, John Reynolds; and two grandchildren, Heather and Holly Anderson. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 210 University Avenue, Daytona Beach. Donations may be made to the Halifax Humane Society.
