BROWN, PHYLLIS A., formerly of Midland, MI, died December 5, 2002 at Hillcrest Care Center, Wayzata, MN, at the age of 89. Born in Northfield, MN and a graduate of Carleton College. She married H. Gordon Brown on August 15, 1936 who preceded her in death. Also preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Clara Pye. Survived by daughters, Lynne Whitacre and husband Chip, Plymouth, MN; Mary Carol Boyd, Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Kristin Malone and husband Kevin, Sara VanDeWalker and husband Tom, Marisa Whitacre; great grandchildren, Owen VanDeWalker, Gabriel VanDeWalker, and Harper Malone; other loving relatives and friends. Memorial Service Monday 10AM at St. Edward's Episcopal Church (temporarily located at the Wayzata Community Church, 125 E. Wayzata Blvd., in the chapel with "red doors").
