SMITH, PEGGY GRIFFIS Peggy Griffis Smith, age 71 of Birmingham (formally of Fultondale), passed away on Saturday March 24, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Ruby Griffis; daughter, Tammy Smith; brother, David Griffis; sister, Shirley Downs. She is survived by her sons, Mark Smith (Pamela) and Steve Smith; brother, Jerry Griffis; sister-in-law, Joyce Griffis; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will held on Wednesday March 28, 2012 from the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home with interment to follow at Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.
