Patricia Smith, age 78, of Rolling Green, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at her home.She was a native of Red Springs, N.C., and daughter of the late William Murphy Smith and Mary Elizabeth Adkins Smith.She was a graduate of Flora MacDonald College in Red Springs, was a homemaker and longtime member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Agape Sunday School Bible Study.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Roy Leon Smith in 2003 and her beloved brother, Murphy Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Smith-Lovin and her husband, Miller McPherson, of Durham, N.C.A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2008, in the Harper Chapel of First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Pam Cole officiating.
