Patricia F. Miller, a longtime resident of Garrison, NY died on Tuesday August 7, 2001. She was 66 years old. Mrs. Miller was born on December 26, 1934 in New York City, NY the daughter of John and Mary Fitzsimmons Mc Gimpsey. She graduated from the Westchester School of Nursing, Grasslands, in 1955. For twenty years she worked as an R.N. at the Peekskill Community Hospital, Peekskill. After the hospital, Mrs. Miller worked at several area nursing homes until retiring in 1986. On December 10, 1955 she married James P. Miller at St. George's Church, Mohegan Lake. He survives. Mrs. Miller was a lifetime avid reader who was well known for traveling weekly to several Westchester County libraries for her reading pleasure. Along with her husband, James, daughter Mary E, Miller, both of Garrison, daughter Catherine A. Revis of East Fishkill and son, John K. Miller of Wappingers Falls, and two grandsons survive Mrs. Miller. Two sisters, Marilyn Comer, of Fishkill, Ann Brygider of Port Haddock, WA and one brother Thomas McGimpsey of Wappingers Falls also survive along with their spouses. Mrs. Miller is also survived by her three brothers in law, Frank, Thomas, and William Miller and their spouses, as well as many nieces and nephews. One son, James P. Miller Jr. predeceased her in 1972. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Columbanus Church, Cortlandt Manor on Friday at 10:00AM, followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery. Visiting at Dorsey-Carlone Funeral Home on Thursday (today), 2-4 and 7-9PM. The family would appreciate donations in Mrs. Miller's name to a heart, kidney, or cancer charity of your choice.
