Patricia A. Passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 13, 2005, in the care of Arnot-Ogden Medical Center following an illness at the age of 71. Pat was the loving daughter of the late Agnes and Franklin Weaver who raised her. She is remembered for her tireless work ethic many times, holding three jobs to raise her family without a complaint. Throughout the years she was employed by and retired from A&P Foods and the Elmira Psychiatric Center. During her last years of employment, "Mom" worked as a home healthcare aide. She shared her gifts with the patients she encountered and they received her loving care just like her family always did who survive her. Sons and daughters-in-law, Don Jr. & Donna Bennett of Elmira with whom she resided. Dave & Shelley Bennett, Cuba, NY; and Timothy Bennett, AL; her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine & Loren Miller, Mifflinburg, PA; ten grandchildren, Julie, Josh, Adam, Abby, Wesley, Heather and Sarah Bennett; Dominic Shawn and Amber Edwards; two great-grandchildren, Ella & Timothy; brothers, Theodore (Beverly) Weaver and Franklin Weaver; a special friend, Bernie Dillon along with nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Caywood's Funeral Home & Gardens, 1126 Broadway, Southport on Sunday, January 16, 2005 from 1-2 p.m. A prayer service will follow at 2 p.m. conducted by Rosemary Bloise. Pat will be interred in her family plot of Forest Lawn Memorial Park at her family's convenience on Tuesday morning. Memorials may be directed to the Arnot-Ogden Dialysis Unit, 600 Roe Ave., Elmira, NY 14905, or the National Kidney Foundation of NY, 731 James St. Suite 200, Syracuse, NY 13203 in her memory.
