Ozzie D. Carter May 23, 2011 Ozzie D. Carter, 81, passed away Monday, May 23, 2011, after a brief illness. She was a resident of Syracuse for 42 years. She retired from the Syracuse City School District. Mother Carter was a member of the New Jerusalem C.O.G.I.C. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Carter; four sons, Roosevelt, Curtis, Ralph Jr. (Trymeter) and Corey; three daughters, Linda, Karen (Raven) and Kelly; brother, Curtis (Edna) of Rochester; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three god children and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Friends may call, Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Prince of Peace Baptist Church with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. Rev. James T. Jones Sr., pastor of New Jerusalem C.O.G.I.C. will be officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Cemetery. FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME is in care of arrangements.
