Ossie Mae Johnson, age 84, Holly Hill, went to her heavenly reward on Monday, July 6, 2009. A homegoing service in her honor will be held Saturday, July 11, 2009, 11:00 a.m., at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1125 Graham Ave., Holly Hill, FL with Pastor Rev. Michael E. Mitchell, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Friday, July 10, 5-7 p.m. at the Daytona Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home. Ossie Mae was born in Pittsburgh, PA. She dedicated her life as a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a proud member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, The Eastern Star Mary's Chapter Number 187, and the Progressive Pallbearers' Lodge 154. She will best be remembered as a direct, loving woman, who celebrated each day and blessed us all with her inspirational love of life and selfless sharing of every blessing with those around her. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family. Ossie leaves behind her devoted husband of 65 years, Eligah Johnson; five children, Lorene Miller, Charlie (Jessie) Johnson, Willie James (Anna Laura) Johnson, Sara "Rosa" Dixon, and Eligah Johnson, Jr.; 16 grand-children, LaRosa, Toni, Charles, Angel, Cynthia, Sonya, Willie, Darren, Eric, Roxanne, Michael, Roslynn, Tasha, Tanisha, Elisha, and Karen; 40 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; a brother, William Oliver; a sister, Hattie Lee Gadson; and a great many more family and friends.
