Ollie Mae Medlin Davis, 86, of 253 Mount Bethel Road, Pickens, died Jan. 11, 2003, at Cannon Memorial Hospital after several years of declining health. She was the beloved wife of Jeffrey Davis for over 65 years. She was the daughter of the late William G. and Eliza Emma Medlin. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was retired from Sir Shirtmakers. She and her husband, Jeff, were the owners and operators of Davis Greenhouse for 40 years. Surviving in addition to her husband, are three daughters, Elizabeth Waldrop of Pickens, Betty Finley and her husband, Sonny of Pickens, Barbara Adams and her husband, Kenneth of Central, one son; Don Davis and his wife, Carolyn of Pickens; grandchildren, Mike and Wanda Waldrop, Tim and Geni Waldrop, Roger and Debbie Simmons, Randy and Penne Skelton, Linda Worley, Wally Davis, Rachel and Steve Goodwin, Mike and LaDonna Owen, and Delina Youngblood; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Davis was predeceased by one son, Wallace "Buck" Davis of Pickens; and two grandchildren, Ricky Watson and Janice Davis. Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Dillard Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens with the Reverend Dewey Lewis and the Reverend Joe Seay officiating. The family will receive friends today from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
