Olive Johnson, 76, Sarasota, died Sept. 20, 2005. She was born Nov. 26, 1928, in England and came to Sarasota in 2005 from Valrico. She retired as a welder and later as a waitress. She was a Protestant. Survivors include daughters Ann Jackson of Sarasota and Joan Crawford of England; a sister, Ethel Stringer of England; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at noon Sunday at Longboat Island Chapel, 6200 Gulf of Mexico Drive, Longboat Key, with inurnment to follow. National Cremation Society, Sarasota, is in charge.
