JOHNSON, Olive A special life has passed from our sight, but never from our hearts. On Friday, February 12th, 2010, Olive Johnson (nee Meleshko) of St. Albert, made her transition after 89 years. Ollie is survived by her loving husband of 62 years John (Jack), daughter Lorraine Shaw of Mexico, son Larry (Carol) of St. Albert; grandchildren Travis Shaw of Calgary, Tara Shaw of Plano Texas, Cristin and Sean Johnson of St. Albert; great-grandchild Cody Andersen of Cranbrook; numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her parents: Michael and Eva; siblings: Jo, Marie, Johnny, Russell, Kay and Natalka (Netty). Olive served with the RCAF (WACS), followed by a lengthy career as a teacher in Edmonton and surrounding areas. She was an avid curler and championship golfer as a long time member of Glendale Golf and Country Club. Beloved to all of her family and friends, she will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Ollie's life will be held at a later date. Floral tributes are gratefully declined, donations may be made to a charity of your choosing on her behalf.
