Olin Lewis Smith, 82, formerly of Belton Drive, widower of Inez Kay Smith, died Monday, April 14, 2003, at National Health Care in Anderson. Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Walter and Annie Mae Smith Smith. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, was retired from Kendall Co., and was a member of Williamston First Baptist Church and the Cooley King Bible class. Surviving are a daughter, Carolyn Anderson, of Honea Path; a sister, Allie Mae Watkins, of Williamston; grandchildren, Annie Laurie Anderson and Richard Anderson; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Smith. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Williamston First Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Brad Bardin. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family is at the home of Carolyn Anderson, 246 Otto Lollis Road, Honea Path; and will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Gray Mortuary in Pelzer.
