Ola Mae Johnson, 93, died April 17, 2012, at Kindred Hospital of Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach. She was born in Dublin, Ga., and lived in Fort Pierce for 67 years, coming from her birthplace. Before retirement, she was employed by the Sunrise Canning Plant. She was a member of First Bethel Baptist Church in Fort Pierce. Survivors include her son, Eddie Lee Johnson of Orlando; daughters, Rutha Mae Simmons of Lincolnton, N.C., and Dorothy Holmes of Fort Pierce; brother, Clarence Whipple of Cocoa; sister, Lousie Harris of Cocoa; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward James Johnson. Services: Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. April 27 and from 9 a.m. to noon April 28 at Sarah's Memorial Chapel in Fort Pierce. A homegoing service will be at 2 p.m. April 28 at First Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Eldrew Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Park.
