ROBERTSON, NORMA MAE TATE, 71, of Louisville, formerly, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away Friday, November 2, 2007, under the care of the Hospice Inpatient Unit, LaGrange, KY. She was born in Beersheba Springs, TN April 15, 1936, one of two daughters born to Hubert and Vesta Tate. After completing high school in Chattanooga. Norma attended and graduated from The University of Tennessee in 1958, receiving an elementary teaching degree. It was at the University of Tennessee Norma met, dated and married William A. Robertson, of Indianapolis. They were married for 49 happy years. Norma was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church. She was involved with many church activities and women's groups. She is survived by her husband, William A. Robertson; daughter, Karen Rider, of Shelby Township, MI; one son, David A. Robertson (Debbie), of Huntington, WV; one sister, Rebecca Nelson, of Ringgold, GA; and grandchildren, Robert and David Rider. Funeral: 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at Highlands Family Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Tuesday. Burial is Wednesday in Chattanooga. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to American Cancer Society, Hospice Inpatient Unit of LaGrange, KY or St. Matthews United Methodist Church.
