Norma Lou Metcalfe Ballard, 88, of Culvertown, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015.She was preceded in death by her first husband, William F. Ball Jr.; her second husband, Pete Ballard; a son, James Donald Ball; a stepson, Alan Ballard; a stepdaughter, Joyce Blanton; her parents, Ballard and Leona "Tootsie" Metcalfe; a brother, Joseph Thurman Metcalfe; and a grandson, Jeff Cecil.She is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Steve) Cecil and Jan (Kurtis) Ballard; a stepson, Jim (Sherrie) Ballard; a stepdaughter, JeanAnn (Alan) Toschlog; two brothers, Harold (Edna Rose) Metcalfe and Kenneth (Janice) Metcalfe; one sister, Verna (Billy) Greenwell; two grandsons, Dustin and Kevin Ballard; two granddaughters, Pam (Ed) Smith and Jessica (Kevin) Saxe; and four great-grandsons, Josh Cecil, Jeffery Cecil, Austin Smith and Charlie Saxe.A funeral Mass was Monday, Feb. 2, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Culvertown with the Rev. Troy Overton officiating. Burial was at the St. Thomas Catholic Church Cemetery in Bardstown.Joseph Greenwell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
