NORMA JEAN "POLLY" HARRIS 1933 - 2010 Our beloved wife and mother went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 14, 2010. As unexpected as it was to us, it was not unexpected to God. He has shown us mercy, in that she went to sleep with a broken body and a broken mind, but she awoke in the presence of the Almighty. A native of Pensacola, she married her childhood sweetheart, Jack Harris, on June 11, 1953. Polly served alongside her husband in pastoral ministries of local Southern Baptist churches for 39 years. Preceded in death by her son, Philip Harris. Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, B. Jack Harris; her loving son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Michel Harris; her daughter, Julie Stevens; her daughter and son-in-law, Shari and Adam Conlee; her grandchildren, Samantha Harris, Jeremy Stevens, Joanna Stevens and Price Conlee. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 16, 2010 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North-Cantonment with Rev. Jim Locke officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. Serving, as pallbearers, will be, Paul Harris, Adam Conlee, Keith Ward, Mike Ward, Tony Allendar and Jeremy Stevens. Faith Chapel Funeral Home, 1000 Highway 29 South, Cantonment, is in charge of arrangements.
